What point & shoot camera has a Wide Angle lens and manual aperture/shutter priority modes?
A good camera, I prefer Canon.. I want a point and Shoot Digital where I have MANUAL (not AUTO) Shutter/Aperture-Priority control and a relatively wide Angle Lens (25-28 mm). Any Canons like this?
Most of the better (non pocket/compact) P&S cameras have full manual function. They are referred to as Bridge cameras. Some of the compacts also have some degree of manual function but lack manual focus.
Some, like the Panasonic LX3 even have reasonably good ISO performance - many well known street photographers use them. The LX3 is the same as the equivalent Leica model(both are made by Panasonic) but far less expensive.
Some of the other Fuji/Sony/Panasic superzooms offer as much functionality as an entry-level DSLR but with better lenses than most entry level kits. Their only failing is their small sensor size and relatively poor high ISO noise performance.

The above comment would have to rank as one of the silliest things I have seen this week. It is completely incorrect and only illustrates that the poster failed miserably, not that the camera did. You can be just as creative with a *good* P&S as you can with a DSLR, more so in many cases. Just watch for situations where that poor high ISO performance will be a problem. That can be alleviated in many cases with a good flash and some off camera lighting skills. You can develop excellent camera skills with a P&S that offers full manual control. The poor ISO performance is still better than the ISO performance on many of the older film cameras - something people seem to forget. Not many of them would produce good results above 400 ISO/ASA

Then look at this site for some instruction in basic camera technique. Learn how to get most advantage from the manuals controls.
