What is Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens good for?
Does it get crisp images from 20-30 feet away?
That lens is fabulous. It focuses faster then my 24-70 2.8 L but I still use the 24-70 more often then not. A lot of my work is close-ups to get very intimate moments and it often helps to have the lens at a distance so that I am not interrupting my subjects 
It's super sharp and a great multi purpose lens.
