how long does a nikon d40 battery last?
i bought a nikon d40 today and i love it. but i was wondering if anyone knew how long the battery usually lasts? i plan on getting a back up battery soon, but i was just curious

How come I can get over a week out my battery? And I use the camera quite often.
11,106 images in all kinds of weather. In 18 months. My original battery is still very trustworthy.
Just don't overuse the LED screen on back, and if you do long exposures using a tripod, that will wear on a battery a lot quicker.
That battery will last quite awhile.
