How much do you hate High School musical and disney channel?
I'm 16 and I am getting really sick of high School Musical. It's everywhere and some people are saying it's the new Grease. If you ask normal teen at a high school, they'll tell you it sucks. I hate disney stars, they all end up with anorexia or in rehab. Children shouldn't look up to these stupid singers (who can't even sing.) Why? They always end up corrupting children (Spears, Lohan, Duff,etc) They should look up to the real heros such as firemen, police, and soldiers who are out protecting us everyday, risking their lives. All these "disney stars" do is make money. Kids only look up to them because they want to be "teenagers". As if teens even watch the disney channel.
I see what you mean. I didn't see high school musical when it first came out, but then all the kids at school were all raving about it. Then, I saw it...I wasn't impressed...it was okay...I've seen better musicals. I guess alot of the kids who were so happy about and thought it was the best thing since post-its aren't really exposed to the arts and musical theatre, so this is probably all they know. Then I go and tell them about a new musical (such as Legally Blonde the Musical on Broadway) and they say it sounds stupid...wow...and these are actors who are devoting their lives everyday to theatre. Many of the voices on high school musical are dubbed (I knew Zac Efron's singing was to good to be true, though after seeing Hairspray in the cinema I realized that wasn't needed), and not have Vanessa lip sync (I think that was needed I can't stand her voice). I found alot of the acting to be over the top bad, it was so unrealistic, and I couldn't Stand Vannessa's character or her friend in the movie. I couldn't stand Sharpay or the teacher either. It is just typical disney channel stuff...I realized they were changing. they have the same actor in their movies and shows...their shows are getting very childish (yeah it's a children's network but hey, let's not insult their intelligience), I find it boring, and the same goes to Nicklelodeon. I feel like these channels are giving the viewer and actors a bad taste about talent. These disney kids are better than Paris and Lindsay...but I have to say I was cheering for Lindsay, but it is a shame that crap is happening to a former disney star, but hey, that is what child stars go through...Sorry about this long story but these shows and movies kids are watching nowadays are too unrealistic...I pretty much think it is overrated
